As we grow our network, we found managers struggling to afford the cost of proper reliable infraestructure for managing energy, water, and sundry machinery. We heard the needs of these specialist looking for plug and play solutions. There is a heavy reliance on proprietary walled products or very complex DIY approaches. We guess there is a better world in which open sourced co-developed solutions can be easy to use. We need the devices ourselves, but we find a better path trough reusing what the ecosystem already offers.
How This gets built.
Since we partnered with Greenant we think about a bring your meter program for the community. So we decided to be the first bringing a a device, and that should be more than a simple meter. Many things happen along the path and as we find new use cases we wanna keep things as simple and reliable as possible. We are placing standards first as the basement for the user to grow their own solutions around it.
We selected AsiaRF to fullfill the device based on their unique experience in 802.11ah infraestructure and as long history as realiable manufacturer.
We end having a simple and versatile device capable of solving the metering and automation task completelly of online but still running small models. Is the device we are using in our Solar Storage, EV charger, water reservoirs, tractors and greenhouses.
